Nebraska's Great Expanse

Gilbert-Baker WMA is part of the Pine Ridge escarpment in extreme western Nebraska. It is so close to Wyoming, in fact, that the ridge that is furthest in the distance is the state border. On this spring day I watched as storm clouds rolled through dropping rain and leaving everything a verdant green.
