Peyto Lake
Peyto Lake in Banff National Park is known for its turquoise blue water caused by runoff from the nearby Glacier. Most photographers will tell you to photograph this scene in the afternoon in order to maximize the reflection of the mountains on the lake. I, however, wanted to see how it would look in the early morning. After photographing the sunrise on Bow Lake I traveled the short distance to Peyto Lake to capture this image.
