Marmot Basking in the Morning Sun
As I came down the trail from the tundra near the Rock Cut in Rocky Mountain National Park, I did not notice this marmot until he moved from the rock near the trail on which he was lying. Obviously annoyed, he stood on his hind legs and the early morning sun illuminated him as he stared me down.
